This week I find a website called TED-Ed and I would like to share it with you. Maybe most of you have heard of TED rather than TED-Ed. TED-Ed is an educational platform that was created by TED to support learning and education.
💬What is TED-Ed?

TED-Ed is an online educational website that provides animated videos on a wide variety of topics. These videos are designed by animators, teachers or experts to engage students to learn and think critically about the world. In addition, TED-Ed also allows teachers to create customized lessons based on these videos.
💬Why use TED-Ed?
Firstly, the videos of TED-Ed are engaging and attractive, making it easier to capture students' attention. And TED-Ed's lessons are designed by experts to encourage critical thinking and problem-solving skills, which can benefit students.
Secondly, the videos cover a wide range of topics and can be chose by teachers to be used in lessons.
Thirdly, the videos are dubbed with standard pronunciation and are suitable for students to practice listening and to practice speaking by following along.
Finally, TED-Ed offers a platform for teachers to create customized lessons using the videos.
💬How to use TED-Ed?
Using TED-Ed in the classroom is simple and straightforward. Choose a TED-Ed video that is appropriate for your students' English level and interests. Then design activities based on the video, such as warm-up activity and follow-up discussion.
In addition, you can customize a lesson based on your chosen video using the TED-Ed lesson builder, which allows you to add questions, discussion topics and so on. You can also use the TED-Ed platform to create your own videos and share them with your students.
💬Limitations
The content of the videos may not always be relevant to the specific topics of the lessons.
Additionally, some students may find the videos too challenging or difficult to understand, especially for young learners/kids. Therefore, teachers need carefully choose videos.
Overall, TED-Ed is a good resource for English teachers to find some engaging and informative videos designed by experts, which may give students some fun and encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity in their students. It's worth going to the TED-Ed website to have a look! 😀

TED-Ed is also one of my favourite websites! There is no denying that TED videos are really popular around the world and they have educational value. However, I am more curious about your thoughts on the educational features of the site rather than the different videos. Perhaps you could go into more detail about the feature to create lessons on this platform?
