Hi everyone, this is Runping, and welcome to my first blog.👏 I write my blogs with the aim of sharing some useful resources in language learning. There are a large number of blogs in the area of educational technology and computer-assisted language learning, which is a good technology and resource to know about some technologies to learn the language. I would like to introduce blogging to you with an analysis of Richard Byrne’s blogs.
Richard Byrne’s blogs are mainly to recommend some free technologies for teachers. I will discuss the blogs from four perspectives, organization and layout, content and features, ease of use and navigation, and target audience. If you have an interest in his blogs, you can click on the link to learn more.
💬Organization and Layout
Each of Richard Byrne’s blogs has its own title, which directly points out what the introduced technology is. Richard also uses some subtitles to make the articles clearer. Besides, there are some pictures and videos integrated to be used in the blogs to attract the readers’ attention (see the screenshot below). But the home page is a little bit crowded since there are so many blogs. Personally, I suggest you browse the archives, click on and read the blogs that interest you.

💬Content and Features
The blogs are comprised of personal experiences and the introduction of technologies. Through the author’s experience, the readers can know some useful and interesting points about the technologies. Also, there are some hyperlinks, which directly link to the websites of technologies.
💬Easy to Use and Navigate
Readers can choose to know about the technologies by watching the videos embedded in the blogs, which is quite convenient. There are some buttons in the home page that can make readers share to Twitter and Facebook. So if readers find the blog meaningful and helpful, it is easy and quick for them to share with others. But we can not see the area for comments in the blog page.
💬Target Audience
Every blog has the same label, namely free technology for teachers. Therefore, the blogs’ target audience is teachers.
💬Summary
It is a good idea to learn blogging and how to write a blog by reading others’ blogs. I am still learning how to write a blog and use blogging in language teaching. If you have the same interest, please feel free to communicate with me.

Hi Runping - Great that you have got your blog started and this is a really nice review of Richard Byrne's blog. Your post is easy to read with lots of space and clear subheadings. I wonder if a spot of colour would be good? I recommend giving your headings a strong colour so that they stand out. Your review is informative and honest - you help your readers find the important points well. Perhaps next time practise embedding a YouTube video? Good work so far - keep it up!
